Our dream is yet to come!
This home was definitely NOT my definition of a dream home, but with a little imagination, hope, work, and risk, we might one day see it as ours. For Jon and I, the location of a home is an essential component to our dream. . We took the risk three months ago and bought this home, after thought of what would have to come. Over the course of this past month, we managed to dream a bit bigger and move a bit further. "Nothing worth having comes easy," and in this instance, we know the value of hard work, and determination. Our project is extensive, but our dreams are more. We began working on "Percy's house" the day it became ours. Our reno started with the removal of the popcorn drywall ceiling, which evolved into a full gut of the interior. We sat on the initiation of a plan, but it seems that one step took us a step further. WE didn't have time to stress about all of the the "what if's" and "but's". It so happened that our new home became ours the week leading into several days of holiday time that was necessary to burn up. Finanacially we understand that there would be extensive costs, but we also recognized that many of our starts could begin with less. We decided to jump into what we could, where we are financially today. , . Jon and I have learned thou that baby steps is the place to start. WE both questioned a few steps as we took them so far to date, but despite our thought we kept us moving. We have dreams to add on to the other side of this house, a place that will house our dream living and kitchen space. For today, however, we will just keep going. We will start where we are, and complete what we can, and the rest will come. Having a goal is the biggest part of getting something good started. All things start with that, and we move towards those initiatives as best as we can, but the key is to keep going forward! I have enjoyed the "demo" days so far, and I am excited for what's to come. Jon and I made another big decision that had us purchase windows for our existing dwelling, but we also ordered several thousand dollars worth of windows to one day import into our dream. for now, again we will take this in stride, and keep working toward our goal. I can't wait to share with you the process of our dream home's transition! thanks for checkin g this out and keep watching for more to come.
